What is ATOL Protection?
ATOL (Air Travel Organiser's Licence) is a UK financial protection scheme managed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). It protects most air package holidays sold by travel businesses based in the UK.
The scheme ensures that if your travel company fails financially, you won't lose your money or get stranded abroad. Your holiday is protected from the moment you book until you return home.
ATOL is a mandatory scheme under UK law, providing you with 100% financial protection for your travel investment.
The ATOL Certificate
When you book a flight-inclusive holiday with us, you will receive an ATOL Certificate. This is your proof of financial protection and contains:
Identifies you as the protected traveler
Brightsun Travel (UK) Limited - ATOL 3853
List of all protected travel arrangements
Amount covered under the protection scheme
Store a printed copy in your hand luggage and save a digital copy on your phone. You may need it if something goes wrong with your travel company.
Our ATOL Protection Status
HADEALZ LTD does not hold its own ATOL licence. We act as an agent for Brightsun Travel (UK) Limited, which holds ATOL number 3853.
When are you ATOL protected?
- Flight-inclusive holidays where Brightsun Travel is the principal
- Package holidays booked as a single transaction
- Flight-plus arrangements booked within 24 hours
When are you NOT ATOL protected?
- Stand-alone flight-only bookings
- Accommodation-only bookings
- Car hire only bookings
- Bookings where no ATOL Certificate is issued
Official ATOL Statement
We are an agent for Brightsun Travel (UK) Limited which holds ATOL number 3853. Many of the flights and flight-inclusive holidays we sell are financially protected by the ATOL scheme.
But ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services listed on this website. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking.
If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate, then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but all the parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected.

Flights with components booked within 24 hours - Fully Protected
Hotels, villas, apartments without flights - NOT Protected
Vehicle rentals without flight arrangements - NOT Protected
Standalone flight bookings - NOT Protected
How to Use Your ATOL Certificate
Verify your name, booking reference, travel dates, and all services are listed correctly on the certificate.
Store a printed copy in your hand luggage and save a digital copy on your phone and email.
Check the ATOL holder name (Brightsun Travel UK Limited) and license number (3853) are correct.
Contact us immediately if anything is incorrect on your ATOL Certificate before you travel.

Flight-only bookings via Amadeus are NOT ATOL protected - please ensure you have adequate travel insurance
Your Amadeus PNR (Passenger Name Record) is separate from your ATOL Certificate. You will receive both a booking reference from our system and, where applicable, an ATOL Certificate from Brightsun Travel (UK) Limited.
